Vision / Mission

Our Vision

As we passionately worship God, our vision for Covenant Church is to build bridges of irresistible influence to our daily network of relationships, community, and world in response to Christ’s challenge in Matthew 5:16:

“Let your light so shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

Our Mission

Our mission, grounded in the principles of the Protestant Reformation, is to live out these core values:

  • Passionately Worshipping God
  • Measured by the Bible
  • Dependent on Prayer
  • Investing in Caring Relationships
  • Building Strong Families
  • Generous with Time, Talent, Treasure
  • Striving for Excellence
  • Living in God’s Grace
  • Committed to Bold Evangelism

As we:

  • Build these core values in the next generation and their children.
  • Call and equip men to build strong families.
  • Connect people to mission opportunities locally and worldwide.
  • Plant churches and minister to the needs of immigrants.

Our World

We believe that there are three critical issues facing the Church today in the United States:

  • The unraveling of society’s core values. When the foundational moral values of a stable and prosperous society are discarded, our nation is in danger of disintegration. This poses a great danger to the next generation in particular.
  • The unprecedented surge in immigration. We are being overwhelmed by a flood of immigrants who do not always understand or share these values.
  • The rise of militant Islam. This may well be the greatest danger faced by this generation. The first two issues make us especially susceptible to this pressing threat from the outside.
  • Despite these critical issues facing us, there is still hope! God is sovereign and his kingdom cannot be shaken. Now more than ever, the Church must become a transforming force by being faithful to its God-given calling.

Our Community

We are strategically located on the main north-south thoroughfare of one of the fastest growing counties in the country. This growth is a collage of retiring generations, young families and young adults, Hispanic and Haitian immigrants, and seasonal residents.

Our Congregation

Covenant is uniquely positioned to serve this community as a Biblically anchored, Christ-centered, and intergenerational church. Our congregation combines year-round and seasonal members from all age groups and backgrounds.

Our Calling

As the area is changing, so must our congregation. We must build bridges of grace to all people in Southwest Florida. However, we clearly understand that reaching, welcoming, and ministering to young adults and families in particular is critical to our future.

In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
