Originally from West Virginia, Trent and his wife Emily served as missionaries in the Czech Republic and in pastoral ministry in St. Louis, Missouri and Dallas,Texas. He joined the Covenant staff in 2010 and served as an Associate Pastor until becoming Senior Pastor in January 2017. He enjoys playing tennis, running, and going on adventures with his wife and three children.
Trent is passionate about preaching the gospel, building up the body of Christ, and promoting discipleship in the family, community and world. His vision is a church fully devoted to Jesus Christ and living out the Rhythm of Discipleship: Worship-Grow-Serve-Go. He writes an occasional blog at www.trentcasto.com.

Rev. Brent Whitefield Ph.D.

Prior to joining Covenant in 2018, Brent served in pastoral ministry at Calvary Church in Valparaiso, Indiana and Northpoint Evangelical Free Church in Corona, California in missions, outreach and discipleship roles. Brent is a native of North Carolina, is married to Eirini, a native of Greece and they have two children, Aliki and Theodore. Before being called to ministry, he taught East Asian history at Valparaiso University for nine years. Brent enjoys a number of sports (some more proficiently than others but will try any) and international travel. (he hopes to reach 100 countries visited in the next few years).
Brent is called to challenge, strengthen and encourage disciples for the work of outreach and missions. He helps give direction to our outreach and GO missions commitments through teaching and through seeking out and maintaining healthy kingdom partnerships. "It is my prayer and goal that our church will draw people to the Gospel by exemplifying Christ’s love for the lost, by being a visible blessing to our community, and by reaching the unreached with the Good News in obedience to the Great Commission."

Prior to joining Covenant, Chris served as Chaplain at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ and as assistant pastor for New Providence Presbyterian Church. Chris came to Naples to join the Covenant staff from New Jersey with his wife Sarah in 2019 and have since welcomed their first child. Chris enjoys all things Southwest Florida: pickle ball, tennis, golf and the beaches.
Chris provides a ministry of care and visitation to the congregation which includes a comprehensive contact and visitation plan to effectively minister to the sick, the hospitalized, the shut-in, the bereaved, and those in long-term care facilities using combinations of Pastors, Elders, Deacons, and laity which includes our Stephen Ministry and GriefShare programs. He also has a passion for seeing all members fully assimilated into Covenant Church and responding to the grace God has extended to them by serving the congregation with their time, talent and treasure, as a loving Christian family.

Assimilation & Lay Ministry Pastor

Originally from Northern California Aaron has a wide range of business and professional experience ranging from banking, aerospace manufacturing, law enforcement and owning his own insurance brokerage. He is married to his high school sweetheart Angie and have the joy of raising four children. Aaron joined the Covenant staff in 2015 and is currently the Pastor of Assimilation and Lay Ministry. Prior to this he served in various ministry capacities within different church’s. He enjoys his family, fishing, diving, travel, and tennis when his achilles doesn’t act up.
Aaron helps new visitors transition into members at Covenant Church through an assimilation process. He oversees several Welcome Ministry Teams and resources to both serve the members of Covenant Church, and integrate them into the life of community and discipleship.
